How buying a car with JB works, from your first message to the keys.

Step 1
Tell JB what you're looking for
Send JB a text, fill out a form on this site, or use Find my car if you don't see the car you want. Tell him what matters to you: the kind of car, your budget and when you'd like to buy.

Step 2
Get pre-qualified (optional)
The pre-qualification form asks about your budget, down payment, job and income so JB can suggest cars that fit. It isn't a credit application, and there's no credit check to fill it out.

Step 3
Look at your options
JB shows you cars from his store that match what you asked for, with prices and what those prices don't include. You can also browse the full inventory on this site at any time.

Step 4
See the car in person
Come to the dealership to see the car and take a test drive. Text JB before you come so he knows which car you want to see.

Step 5
Trade in your car, if you have one
Share the details and a few photos on the trade-in page before you visit. JB looks the car over himself and follows up with a number. There's no automatic online valuation.

Step 6
Financing through the dealership
If you'd like to finance, the dealership's finance office takes your credit application and sends it to lenders. The lender decides whether to offer a loan and at what rate, so we can't promise you'll be approved.

Step 7
Sign and pick up your keys
You review and sign the paperwork with the dealership, which is the seller. Then the car is yours, and JB is still a text away if you have questions later.
What this site never asks for
No form on CarsWithJB asks for your Social Security number, date of birth, driver's license number or bank account numbers. If you finance, the dealership's finance office collects what the lender needs on its own secure application.
